Eviance is seeking individuals from across Canada, with a broad range of backgrounds and social locations, who are interested in serving on our Board of Directors. The primary functions of the Board include strategic planning; financial monitoring; and, fundraising. Prospective board members must be committed to our vision, mission and values, and will be aware of historic, current and emerging issues related to disability inclusive but not limited to mental health.

Eviance Receives Funding Through Winnipeg Foundation Stabilizing Grant

Winnipeg, Manitoba – Eviance is pleased to announce we are recipients of a Winnipeg Foundation Stabilizing Grant, totalling $30,000. The Winnipeg Foundations Stabilizing Grant is designed to support the short- and medium-term financial needs of local charitable organizations affected by revenue loss and unexpected expenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For Eviance, access to this funding is a relief, as the organization hasn’t yet qualified for other national relief funding for non-profits,

‘Communication Tools: A Guide’

We are thrilled to launch “Communication Tools: A Guide”, a user-friendly guide of tools in Winnipeg that can help people communicate with First Responders in emergencies. Engagement on the Disability Inclusion Action Plan

The Government of Canada is consulting Canadians on how to improve the lives of Canadians with disabilities. Your feedback will support the development of the Disability Inclusion Action Plan.


The Disability Inclusion Action Plan will focus on:

- Reducing poverty among Canadians with disabilities

- Getting more persons with disabilities into good quality jobs

- Helping meet the Accessible Canada Act goal of a barrier-free Canada by 2040

- Making it easier for persons with disabilities to access federal programs and services

- Fostering a culture of inclusion
